Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania

fraud

I have lived with a man for 15 years as his common law wife and opened up a credit card in his name without him knowing it. Is this fraud? Will I go to jail for this?

Re: fraud

First of all, there is no common law marriage in Pennsylvania, so you are not spouses.

You cannot open up a credit card in someone else's name. It's identity theft. Using the card would then potentially be fraud and theft.
