Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania

Used wifes card on file to pay her and her kids part of phone bill.Charged with Access Device Fraud. Is ARD a good idea?My wife is going to divorce me. I thought we had agreed to both pay for part of the phone bill. I paid for only her and her 2 kids' portion using her card which was on file for my AT&T account. I paid for myself and my son with my card. She called police. Payment was $158.62. Was returned to her and I paid it myself. I told the officer on the phone that I used it without her knowledge. I can't afford a lawyer but may not qualify for a public defender. They offered the ARD program. Should I do this? If so, can I do it without a lawyer? Is it possible to have the case dropped at all since we are still married?

And you confessed to the police why? You have the right to remain silent.

If they'll give you ARD take it. Be aware that while the charges can be expunged. That may require you to do something. Also ARD isn't cheap it will add anywhere from $500 to $1500 to your fines and costs.
