Legal Question in DUI Law in Pennsylvania

DUI 1st offense,carless driving,failure to keep right in pittsburgh,pa?

I was charged for DUI 3802 (A) (1). Careless Driving and Failure to keep right. My BAC is not listed in the police report for the breathylizer or blood test. What kind of punishment am I looking at jail time, license suspension, fines? Also, I have to go in for fingerprinting, what is the reason for this? I have to fill out a personal information sheet, is that the bail background information they sent me? For the form it asks for prior arrests, does an underage drinking or a public drunkness considered an arrest? I do need representation, preferrably with a payment plan option. Thank you for your time, any information will be greatly appriciated.

You have to be fingerprinted as a matter of law. Every case that is filed with an OTN number, yours will start with a "g" most likely, has to have fingerprints associated with it.

How your case is resolved depends on your prior record. If you have never been in trouble, then after a through preliminary hearing where we test the Commonwealth's case against you with a court reporter present to record the officer's testimony, we will meet to discuss whether you should enter the ARD Program or challenge your case in court.

ARD is a program offered in PA for first time, non-violent, non-drug related offenders. There are conditons, but the most important ones for Defendants are that your record is expunged fro employmetn purposes, you are excused from the mandatory 1 year driver's license suspension and the mandatory 2-4 days in jail.

Please contact me if you have additioanl questions. It is difficlut to provide you with all the information you need to make a smart decision via email. I trust I added some value by responding.

Thanks.
