Legal Question in DUI Law in Pennsylvania

FBI Background Check

I had a DUI Arrest 17 years ago. I recently had an FBI Background Check done for employment reasons at a school. I got the background check back and it shows a record of the arrest. I was told when this happened, 17 years ago, if I went through the ARD program, which I did, that my record would be wiped clean and the charges would be expended. So why does my background check show an arrest for DUI? Is this an error or will it always show up on my record? If this is an error what steps do I take to have the information corrected? Thank you for your time and professional help in this matter.

Re: FBI Background Check

Although the record probably was expunged the original records of the arrest are not within the scope of the expungement. The statute is at 18 Pa.C.S. ยง 9104.
