Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

Custody of Wife's sister

I am in my mid 20s and my wife is 16. Her mom signed & gave permission for the marriage but it is only beneficial so she can get away from her home but her mom doesn't know. We married mainly to have the ability to fight for custody of her 12 y/o sister & 7 y/o brother. The mother jumps from guy to guy and is the type to focus more on the ''man of the moment'', then her own kids. The Boyfriends daughter who is 8 convinced the 7 year old to act sexually with her. The boy was beat so bad he had red marks on his back for 2 days but the other girl got in no trouble after her dad found out. My wifes 12 year old sister is afraid she is going to get raped from the random friends the boyfriend brings to the house. She talks of suicide because her mom tortures her mentally, constently grounding her and picking her boyfriends side on everything. Both of the kids say they would rather stay with me or their grandmother, but she works alot and can't handle them. The kids also tell me and my wife about the drugs and the drinking that goes on. I am a grown man but I have seen things to make me want to cry. I know it isnt made up so they can get their way. I need help on what to prepare for, if their word is good enough or what proof I need. Thanks

Re: Custody of Wife's sister

You need to get the children into protective custody first, then make your petition for custody. Contact the police department or the local women against abuse for advice.
