Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

Divorce without property settlement?

Is it possible to get a divorce without finalizing the property settlement? I can't get my husband (we've lived apart for 9+ years) to talk to me about divorce and no property settlement has been discussed. I'd like to divorce and hash out the property settlement at his leisure. Is such a thing possible?

Re: Divorce without property settlement?

It is possible to be divorced without an agreement. If you are the plaintiff and economic claims were raised, they will have to be withdrawn. If he will not withdraw any economic claims he has, then the only other way is through equitable distribution.
