Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

PA

Does anyone know if there is anything you can do to legally fight for your child after you have signed the paperwork to relinquish your parental rights?

I ask this because a friend of mine signed over his rights about 18 months ago. At the time he signed the paperwork he really felt he was doing the best thing for his daughter. He has regretted doing it everyday since.

If anything can be done please let me know.

Thank you

If he signed his rights over, as part of an adoption, then it would appear to be too late for him to revoke it. The adoption may be finalized. In addition, there is a 30 day window during which he could have revoked his consent to the adoption and giving up his rights. Otherwise, children, and adoptive parents would not have an stability if it was openended and parents could change their minds.
