I am seperated from my husband. He has possession of our house. i want to get my personal property from it. He is preventing me. Do I have to go to The Local Magistrate about the situation? Mary

You can. Generally the Magisterial District Judges will try to work this out without a Protectin From Abuse or PFA Order. Another option is to file a Divorce Action and include a Count for Equitable Distribution of Property. There are also family mediation services available but if your husband is not cooperating now, I doubt that mediation is an option.
