Legal Question in Medical Leave in Pennsylvania

Coverage for employers with more than 50 employees

I work in New Jersey for a company that has corporate offices in Pennsylvania. I understand the coverage is required by employers with more than 50 employees - but is this 50 employees at a specific location, within a certain area or on a total corporate basis?

Family Medical Leave Act - 50+ employees within geographic location

The Family Medical Leave Act requirement of 50 or more employees is determined within a 75 mile distance from the worksite where the employee seeking leave performs his/her services for the employer. In other words, an employer satisfies the 50 or more employee requirement if the employer employs 50 or more persons within 75 miles of the location where the person seeking leave renders services. The 75 mile distance is measured using surface transportation over public streets, roads, highways, and waterways, by the shortest route from the facility where the eligible employee is employed.
