Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Pennsylvania

civil hearing

got hearing notice from magisterial district , called and made payment arrangement of 101.00 a month till payment is made is made in full, they agreed to except, payments as said, now person who i spoke with said that they will still have the hearing , i spoke to judge and he said said he will need letter from them to call of hearing , they said they will not call off hearing even with payments that where arranged , is this proper and what can i do , i do not know the law. thanks

You should show up at the Hearing and explain to the Judge that you have made arrangements with the plaintiff to pay and show proof that you have been paying as agreed. They want to obtain the judgment so that they can enforce the agreement without having to sue on the agreement. If it is a short period of time some Judges will just continue the Hearing until it's paid but others will enter the Judgment if there is sufficient evidence.
