Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Pennsylvania

civil lawsuit

my husband has a ''high risk'' job. I am afraid that someday he could be sued civily. What can we do now to protect our assests. Should I have the house and all of our assest only in my name? Thanks!

Re: civil lawsuit

Well you could do that. Though if the house is in both your names which it would be even if you put it in your name only.

The easiest thing to do is just buy an umbrella liability coverage rider for your home owners insurance.

If you have any questions feel free to contact me. The initial consultation is free.

Asset protection is a complicated issue. You need a comprehensive analysis, & not just focus on your home. You should consult with an experienced attorney to discuss these issues. Having sufficient liability ins is important, but is just one factor to be considered.
