Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Pennsylvania

Judgements

Can a Judgement be used to foreclose on a home. My home is owned jointly with someone not involved in the litigation. I live in PA, the judgement will come from NC. The house has a 1st and 2nd mortgage on it.

Re: Judgements

If you own the house with a spouse as tenants in the entirety, then the house is insulated unless the judgment is against both you and your spouse. If the judgment is against only one of you, then the house is safe.

If you own the property in any different way, such as a joint tenancy, then there may be some risk.
