Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Pennsylvania

Our lawyer has lost our Power of Attorney that we were going to have him record and change the names on a deed of Mother-in-law's house. We have a copy, but I'm told that's no good. What are our options? I'm ready to sue to hold him accountable for lost revenue if house goes to probate.

Wow that sounds careless but there is good way you can prove you lost revenue. Further, if the house passes to you via a will your cost basis for the house will be what it;s worth at death not what your mother in law paid for it plus whatever money she spent on improvements to the house. That will lead to significant tax savings if you sell. I don't suppose the lawyer explained that to you. Time to go looking for a new one,
