Legal Question in Immigration Law in Pennsylvania

If you are charged with a misdemeanor and have to serve up to a year in jail and are an immigrant

but are married to a US citizen, can you still fix your immigration issues while serving time

or will you get deported after serving the time?

Hello:

This depends on the crime and other factors. However, it is very likely you will be sent to removal proceedings and Immigration will try to deport you. However, there are ways of fighting this.
