Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Pennsylvania

petition to satisfy

hello. i need to file a petition to satisfy with philadelphia municipal court to satisfy a judgement against me, the tenant, from 2001. i have recently been in contact with the attorney on record [who represented the landlord] and he instructed me to contact the landlord instead, but after returned mail and no further contact information, i have not been able to. so, i need to know if a lawyer will be able to expedite this petition and the fee they would charge. i live in nj now and while i can be available as often as needed, i am hoping this is a matter that can be handled rather quickly with just a few, or maybe even only one, visit.. but i am looking for any further advise.

thank you

Re: petition to satisfy

Did you pay the judgment amount to the landlord?

Normally the satisfaction is signed by the the plaintiff's attorney and then filed with the court.

Good luck to you.
