Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Pennsylvania

If a rental tenant is evicted from house rental by owner and court order because of lack of rent payment and has vandalized the property, should this be taken to court or would home insuranace cover this? They arced the electronics on the furnace to destroy the furnace and they also started to remodel the basement walls without the knowledge or permission of the owner.

Obviously it is the tenant's responsibility. Whether your insurance company will cover it depends on the policy language. Landlords often purchase Landlord's Insurance for just this type of eventuality. Further, most homeowner's policies do not pay for damages caused if you were renting the property and id not advise the insurance policy beforehand. I suggest you check your insurance policy or have a lawyer look at it to give you an opinion.
