Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Pennsylvania

My landlord is trying to evict me and will not accept the rent money because she mad that I called the city because she would not fix anything. The city found out she has no housing license and the house got many violations. Can she evict me? Also is renting a house without a housing license legal?

Your landlord cannot evict you for reporting violations. But, if you do not have a lease or your lease has expired and you are now a "month to month" tenant, the landlord can evict you by giving you 30 days written notice. You will still be liable for the rent as long as you remain there, so it would be a good idea to open an escrow account at the bank and deposit your rent money into the escrow account on the first day of each month, or whenever you would normally pay the rent.

With reference to your question of whether or not an owner can rent their house without a license, this is strictly up to the township. Some townships require a license if they are renting any property other than a single family residence, while other townships do not require a license. Therefore, you would have to check with the township in which the property is located if a license is required in order to rent property to a tenant.
