Neighbor Issue

Not sure this is the right place, but here it is. We moved into our home 1.5 years ago. Our neighbor (who we have never met to this day) across the street 3 months into our time here got really drunk with a few of his friends and started shooting fireworks at our home (which is cedar with a cedarshake roof & the neighborhood on this night had been without power for 5 days due to an storm), and it wasn't July 4th. This went on for over an hour. We called the police as we did not want our home damaged, etc. After the police left the neighbor and his friends verbally abused us for 4 hours (foul language, threats, etc). We never said a word, stayed in our house. Since then he yells at us on the weekends during drinking episodes (this guy is an attorney) and gives us the finger when driving by our home or passing us in traffic. We have had it with the harassment. What is our recourse, if any?

You asked about harassment by a neighbor.

You brought up the most important fact last. Record the incidents and present it the Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court. Attorneys are governed by a strict code of ethics and our conduct must comport with the highest standards of society.

You could also try to resolve the matter amicably or civilly.

Your explanation made sense to me. Maybe it will make sense to him. It's harder to be dislike people your are friendly with. What about starting off by inviting him (and his spouse/partner) out to dinner at a nice restaurant, your treat.
