Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Pennsylvania

Does an estate continue to pay taxes on real estate

A relative died 3 years ago, and named me in her will. I have not yet received my settlement and have not seen a copy of the will. The house was left to the relative's sibling, who has not made any mortgage payments/taxes since moving into the home. Are these payments coming from the estate fund and will the sibling have to payback these funds to the estate when it is finally settled?

I need more info, but you need to find out who the executor of the estate is and formally demand an accounting of the distribution. If they do not distribute the estate properly they can be liable. If the Will has been filed, you can go to the Courthouse and get a copy.
