Mother's remains still at funeral home

What type of action can I take against the funeral home that cremated my mother? She died last June and I still have not received her ashes. I have called 2 times just recently, they keep saying they will send them and give me some lame excuses-but still no mom.

Re: Mother's remains still at funeral home

Understanding that no client relationship is created by this e-mail, and that I'm relying on the facts summarized as they are by you, I think there are some serious potential claims against the funeral home. There is definitely a potential breach of contract case, depending upon the contents of the contract for cremation. There is also a likely infliction of emotional distress. You should consult with an attorney as soon as possible. We offer free consultations, and would be happy to talk to you.
