Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Pennsylvania

Parent Passing Away.

How can i protect myself and or know my rights, if my mother passes away, and has no will, and refuses to let any of her children know what she has or how to access anything regarding her assets? there are 3 children, and the oldest is the only one who stands to inherit all of the decisions regarding the parents passing. how can one protect themselves against the odds of not being held responsible for all debts, and whatever could come their way? thanks.

Re: Parent Passing Away.

If there is no will and the only heirs are you and siblings the estate is divided equally amongst you.

As to the debts, if the estate doesn't have enough assets to pay off the debts then you get nothing and the creditors can't come after you.

If you have any questions feel free to contact me. The initial consultation is free.
