Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Pennsylvania

My sister passed away suddenly and she only had a 15000 dollar death policy with her work. She does not own any estate per say, (no house etc.) and her daughter wants to turn in her lease vehicle. The company state to her daughter that she will have to pay them 3000 dollars when she turns the vehicle in. I'm almost sure that credit companies and leasing companies can not touch a death policy or the next of kin??? Please advise...

Really, did her daughter sign the lease for the car?

All the leasing or creditors can go after is the estate not the heirs.

That said it would help if she has certified copies of the Death Certificate.

Don't be surprised if some of the creditors want her to pay. They have no legal way of making her pay. That said they will make all sorts of misstatements.
