can an employee choose not to use the company workers comp insurance with a work related injury, and use their own primary medical insurance to be treated?

If the injury you are treated for is related to a work injury then your health insurance will not pay for it, & it would be improper for your doctor to submit it to the health insurance co. Why would you not want to use worker's comp?
