Your first objective should be to obtain your permanent residency in Peru. You need to look beyond the main reason behind your husband becoming verbally and physically abusive. You need to talk to him openly and discuss it out. It could be due to excessive drinking, or any other addiction that gets him frustrated, it could also be your nagging nature, please don't get me wrong, I'm just thinking aloud. Try and get to the root cause of the problem and treat it. A human psychologist counseling session(s) by a qualified medical practitioner for both of you together, will be very helpful. Divorce is the worst case scenario, when all options have been tried and exhausted.
