Legal Question in Criminal Law in Philippines

a former group mate of ours filed a malicious mischief against 5 of us. She allegedly accused us of scratching her car last June 25. She has no evidence that we were the ones who did it just because we were not in good terms. On the police blotter report where she filed her complaint, there was no place indicated where the incident happen, will this be a ground for technicality on the complaint? Do we need to be represented by a lawyer. She filed her complaint at the police station.

For purposes of initiating legal action, that is filing of the case in court, the place where the incident took place is essential because it will determine the venue and the jurisdiction of the criminal court that will take cognizance of the case. But for blotter purposes, it may not be so. At that level, you don't need a lawyer yet. You will need one once the investigation by the police pushes through.
