Legal Question in Immigration Law in Philippines

im migrating to USA,in the ds230 partII question#41.Did you had been charged,arrested or convicted of any offense or crime?.I had been accused of theft(shoplifting)but it never went to trial,it had been dismissed on pre-trial/arraignment.im confuse what to answer in the form, willl it be a yes or no? please help me..thaks a lot for your time

You should probably consult an American immigration lawyer. If answer is 'yes', you will need to provide certified court records. Also a criminal background check is required at a later stage by the USA embassy.

If you were arrested or charged with the crime, the answer is 'yes'.

Crime of shoplifting is a crime of moral turpitude unde the US immigration law.
