Legal Question in Criminal Law in South Carolina

Employment background check

I am awaiting trial for a crime. I was arrested and released on a PR bond. I have applied for many jobs and was just wondering if this would show up on a criminal background check, or would it stay off until I was proven guilty in court?

Re: Employment background check

It depends. Information doens't always get put on your record immediately. What will eventually show up is that you were arrested. Since you have not had your trial yet, there will not be a record of the outcome of the case.
