Legal Question in Criminal Law in South Carolina

Financial Aid Fraud

There is a case in SC where business college owners were indicted for financial aid fraud. One of the owners pleaded the case down and served time on a work release basis. Are there any websites in which I can research the findings/testimonies in this case. The case has been closed as far as I understand and the original indictments were issued in 1992.

Re: Financial Aid Fraud

The United States District Court has a website at www.scd.uscourts.gov provided this a federal case. This would be a start. If it is a state case, I doubt there is a website. You would probably have to go to the county courthouse and research the General Sessions index, get the indictment numbers and pull the file. There is usually not a whole lot in the file, but there should be some names in there. You could contact the Solictor's office also for information. I hope this has been some help to you.
