Legal Question in Family Law in South Carolina

child custody

My husband wants me to leave SC and go visit my family in NM because we are constantly fighting. I don't plan on coming back if I leave. Will this cause me to loose the children? House?

Re: child custody

Leaving the state is one of many issues that the Court takes into consideration in deciding a contested custody case. There are too many unknown facts in your case to give an opinion at this time as to whether you might lose custody or not.

These are complex issues, and it is important that they be handled correctly. Therefore, it is important that you consult an experienced family law attorney to find out what options are available to you based on the facts of your particular case.
