Legal Question in Family Law in South Carolina

lawyer Lies

In the merits hearing with my children not having legal representation and myself not having legal representation my wifes attorney flatly lied. This can be proven as DSS was in the court room. His lie resulted in the children being sent to foster care. I have the children but what can I do about his lies and the result. I feel that its criminal.

Re: lawyer Lies

Without knowing much more information, it is not possible to give you any specific advice. However, your options may include any/all of the following:

1. You may raise that as an issue at your next hearing;

2. You can file a Motion to Reconsider, if it is done within the allotted time;

3. You can appeal the case, if it is done within the allotted time; and/or

4. You can file a grievance against the attorney.

If you need more information, you can visit my family law blog (www.SCFamilyLaw.com) or our website (www.StevensFirm.com). I wish you the best of luck.
