Legal Question in Intellectual Property in South Carolina

This question refers to a DMCA law. Currently there is a court case against someone reguarding DMCA, is there a way to become a part of the defendants party in aid to prevent this company from creating an adjustment to the law from the hearing of this case.

In a nutshell, Blizzard Ent, vs Alyson Peyton/Greeves due to copyright infringement for reverse engineering. I would like to be a part of the case and get a lawyer to represent me to aid on the defendants part.

You can't actually join the defendant if you are not a party to the case. I believe what you refer to is an amicus curiae ("friend of the court") opinion. Definition: A person who is not a party to a lawsuit but who petitions the court or is requested by the court to file a brief in the action because that person has a strong interest in the subject matter (Black's Law Dictionary). It is within the discretion of the court to accept an amicus brief.

On a substantive note, I have no idea how one can reverse engineer a copyrighted work (I have never heard of such a thing). Reverse engineering occurs with patented inventions. Perhaps you got two different things confused?
