Military personal bankruptcy

I am active duty USMC and am contemplating filing bankruptcy. What are the legal ramifications of doing this against my career?

Bankruptcy by itself shouldn't have an adverse affect.

There is a provision in the UCMJ about wrongful failure to pay just debts. Depending on how your command thinks of you it could play a role, but not usually.

However, how you got to need to file a bankruptcy and how you handle your finances post-bankruptcy could have an effect on getting/keeping a security clearance.
