Legal Question in Personal Injury in South Carolina

injured knee

I was on a field trip with students from the daycare that i work at an another teacher. I was on the floor skating and watching the kids while they were skating, a child came toward me and i fell trying to miss her. I was told by my employer that workers comp. would not pay for it, since i was skating, I was not told in advance that i was not to be skating. What can i do, to get help with the hospital bills, I was told that i bruised the inside of my knee and that it was too swollen to tell if i damaged anything, my knee keeps popping, and it hurts when i go up stairs, and when i put pressure on my right knee.

Re: injured knee

Your employer is wrong. As long as you were injured during the course of employment then you qualify for compensation. Go back and click on my name for my phone number and I can fill you in. Robert Johnston [email protected]

Re: injured knee

This will be covered by workers compensation in spite of what your employer says. I would be happy to help you file your claim.

Re: injured knee

If you were injured at work and the injury was arising out of or in the course of your employment, then it is covered, despite what your employer may have led you to believe.

Many times, employers take steps to attempt to persuade you NOT to file a workers' comp claim because they want to keep their own insurance premiums low.

If you have been injured and need help, you are welcome to call our office and talk with my partner Paul MacPhail, who handles our workers' comp cases.
