Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in South Carolina

stepmother contesting will

My father died at the end of

November, and even though he has

a will, his wife is contesting it as well

as acting as a creditor to the estate.

What are my sister and my rights

here. She is claiming he owed her

more than the estate is worth. And

he had much family property that

has been within our family for over a

hundred years. My sister and I are

the last of the family.

Re: stepmother contesting will

This is a question for a South Carolina probate attorney, preferably one in the county where your father lived. Good luck!
