Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Tennessee

State offices( Children's services )

i have been told that workers of the children's services can not be sued . i have been told they can pretty well do as they wish and nothing can be done. is this correct ? if i can prove they have took my civil rights from me and abused there atthority can i sue them ?

Generally officers in this type of situation will be immune from lawsuit in their official capacity. In limited circumstances you can overcome this immunity, but over the last 20 years the U.S. Supreme Court has really raised the bar for anyone trying to sue for this type of apparent civil rights violation.
