Name Change After Divorce

How do I go about changing my last name back to my maiden name now that I am divorced? Do I need to apply for name change, file with the courts or go before a judge for this?

Generally speaking this is not a very difficult process. Contact an attorney and he or she can tell you what to do or do it for you for a reasonable fee.

You don't even need to go to court to change your name, and if your divorce was recent, if you wanted to return to court you might go back to that court to amend the final decree to include a name change (check with your attorney on that).
