Name change

I have been divorced for 5 years and would like to go back to my maiden name. How do I do this? And are on line name change companies completely legal.

Before trying this on your own you might want to see what lawyers in your area charge to handle this type of matter. In my opinion consulting legal counsel is a wise way to handle legal issues. While a legal name change is not the most complex process in the world, you want it done right. And because it is not the most complex process, you might find the legal fees relatively inexpensive. Keep in mind there are some situations where one is not permitted to obtain a name change and your lawyer can advise you about that. Good luck.
