Legal Question in Family Law in Tennessee

in my divorce papers it is stated that i have no parental responsibilities to a child that was born during my marriage since a dna test was done proving that i wasnt the father.it is now known whom the father is....one year after the divorce i received legal custody of the child due to neglect..i know in the custody papers it says that i am to provide for the care of the children.however my ex-wife was getting medical insurance for the child.i found out today that she has let the medical insurance expire.my question is if the child was to to require serious medical attention whom would be responsible for the bills?

If your divorce decree adopts a parenting plan, of if the plan was otherwise approved by the court, then the court order governs on this question. Look to the specific language concerning medical insurance and payment for non-covered medical care. That should answer your question.

I could not understand whether your question also included the child who is not yours. If it did, then you have other issues that need to be resolved if that child is now living with you.
