Legal Question in Family Law in Tennessee

Spouse refuses to leave

Husband won't work (Manic depressive), wife and 2 kids are mentally abused by him. Apartment is in both their names. Wife works at a Church so there isn't much money coming in. They have been married 15 years - she would like out - but does not know what, or how to do this? He claims he would cry ''abandonment'' on her.

Please help!! Many thanks.

Re: Spouse refuses to leave

She needs to talk with an attorney about divorce... but she is also going to need to be able to pay the attorney. While it certainly sounds like an unpleasant life, the circumstances do not sound so terrible I would expect many attorneys to take this without actually being paid, and IF your husband is as much of a pain as you describe him he is likely to froce the attorney to do a good deal of work in the case.
