Legal Question in Insurance Law in Tennessee

I was in an auto accident 4-20-09 The driver of the other vehicle was sited for running a traffic light. I was \"T\" boned in my driver side door. My vehicle was totaled. I did not sustain any broken bones, but was bruised badly from the top of my head to my knees. I do not have a Lawyer. The at fault Ins.co. is about to make me an offer on settlement for personal liability claim. Hou do I know if the offer is fair? Is there any set rules for the Ins.Co.to go by, or do they just make up their own as they go?The at fault driver was in a company vehicle at the time. A van that carried Handycapped persons to special school, and work. No passangers at time of accident.\n Thank you Bobbie Gentry

I would be happy to review the settlement offer if this issue is still pending.
