Legal Question in Insurance Law in Tennessee

Can't locate life insurance policy

I'm sure my father had a life insurance policy but we are unable to locate the policy. He wasn't the most organized person. How in the world does one begin to find out the name of the insurance company?

Re: Can't locate life insurance policy

Check with his insurance agent. If he ever bought any insurance, he may have been asked to list what other insurance he had. Or go through all of his old checks, registers, etc.
