Legal Question in Personal Injury in Tennessee

broken porch swing

Having been injured from a fall from a broken porch swing, I have learned that the same swing fell with others a couple of years before and only the broken bolt was replaced at that time. The other bolt broke with me, causing back, neck, arm pain. Is this considered neglect? and should occupants libility insurance help with my medical bills?

Re: broken porch swing

The facts you set out indicate the possibility of negligence on the part of the homeowner and if so, it is very likely that his or her homowner's insurance would cover such a claim. I suggest you contact an attorney familiar with Tort and Premises Liability suits so that you can share more facts about the incident. you should know there are very strict filing deadlines applicable to all cases and you will want to discuss that with your lawyer as well. Best of luck.
