Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Tennessee

In my will, can I give permission to one of my children to reside in my house without deeding it to him? I have 3 other children and I want to leave all my property to all of them equally without deeding any of it to any particular child.

You probably can meet this goal - or some semblance of it - through a trust or will document (or trust in your will). However, to achieve the goal you state in your question, the language in your will must be very specific and accurate. To avoid unintended consequences, you should consult with an experienced estate planning/wills attorney in your area.
