us citizenship

i want to become a us citizenship, and i'm filling the paper work, but i dont really recall if i have put us citizen in any paper work that i have done. what if i put no and at the end i might have or what if i put yes and i havent. what would happened if they found that i have put that i'm us citizen even if i was not?

The answer is simple; it is often a crime to say you are a citizen if you are not. So don't do it until you are a citizen.
