Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Texas

Filing bankruptcy for second time

I filed bankruptcy 6 years ago. During that time, I unfortunately accumulated new credit card debt. Debt management programs weren't able to assist. Can I file for bankruptcy again, or is there another option?

Yes, as long as you would otherwise qualify.

As far as the time requirement goes, if your previous filing was at least six years ago, you are eligible to file again.

You can file again but you can only file under chapter 13. Filing under chapter 13 would mean you would be required to repay a portion of your debts for a minimum of 3 years.
