Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Texas

We are being sued for alot of money, $40,000 and would like to sign over judgement as no guilt. The cost for fighting this as a defendant would be more than we can afford with all the legal charges. We have no money and don't want to go to court. How would we ask the judge to close the case or settle?

Thank you for your help.

If you don't mind these folks taking a judgment against you, you don't have to do anything at all.

It's a shame to let them get a judgment without forcing them to prove anything. I would suggest that you visit with at least one lawyer, and find out your options.
