Legal Question in Business Law in Texas

Liability LLC

I am in the process of trying to start a staffing firm. I need to protect my assets at all cost. Will the LLC status give me that protection or should I incorporate? Keep in mind, I have another organization handling my payroll and back office so they are responsible for the candidate while on assignment. I do not want that organization coming after me if something happens to a contractor at a job site.

Also, I have been told two different things regarding the LLC as a partnership. Can I be an LLC as an individual?

Re: Liability LLC

Texas allows a one-person LLC. The decision between a corporation and an LLC requires evaluation of long and short-term strategies, goals, tax aspects, etc. and can't be based strictly on "I'm in business. Which is better?"
