I am starting an adult web site, what kind of disclaimers, releases and legal stuff do I need?

Howdy:

You'll need a terms of use agreement, which will include a statement that the user is over 18, and that the laws in the area that they live don't prohibit their access to your site.

More importantly is the choice of where you host the site. You need to be sure there aren't local laws that restrict the hosting company. Usually, they'll refuse the job if there are.

You'll want to set up a business entity to own the business.

Then make sure that your host ISP doesn't have a problem with an adult website.
