Legal Question in Business Law in Texas

Towing company damages motorcycle and doesen't pay

My motorcycle was towed by accident last year and was damaged considerably. When it happened they gave me a damage claim form and told me to get an estimte and they would cut me a check for the damages. After almost a year of dodged letters, phone calls, and lies from them I still have a broken bike and nowhere else to turn. How can I get them to pay??

1st, check to see if they are licensed by the city where located or some other licensure authority. If so file a complaint with that authority--they may require him to be bonded. If not, you may have to file an action in small claims court

Unfortunately, It seems as if you will have to file suit. Be careful that you dont wait too long, or the statute of limitations will run and you will lose your opportunity to file suit.

This is my opinion only and does not constitute legal advise. No attorney/client relationship is formed or contemplated.
