Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Texas

Hospitals & visitors

Been trying to get a definitive answer on this for years. My husband spent 108 days in a hospital that is partially funded with public money. I was never allowed to stay overnight, never allowed during 6:30-7:30 pm or allowed in before 11 am. I was constantly separated from him for procedures or any reason they wanted to throw me out. This was traumatizing and violating to both of us. This is a serious inquiry and I really need a definitive answer, do Texas hospitals have any authority to regulate visitors? (other than the obvious...threatening, disruptive, etc) but just in general, did I have any constitutional right to be with my husband, did he have any constitutional right to keep me at his side?

The hospital may make and enforce any legitimate rules and regulations it deems reasonable. I doubt you even had much of a basis to complain at the time, let alone now.
